I am a Career Coach, Job Search Expert, and LinkedIn Strategist, dedicated to empowering ambitious job seekers in positioning themselves as ideal candidates to secure their dream jobs.

Drawing from my extensive background as a former recruiter with 20+ years of experience, I have personally reviewed thousands of resumes and successfully hired numerous candidates. Throughout my career, I have encountered a vast number of applicants, leading me to reject over 99% of individuals who applied for positions under my purview.

This hands-on experience has granted me invaluable insights into what truly works (commonly known as "what gets you hired") and what doesn't (often resulting in a frustrating sense of job hunting as an endless void).

My Career Story

I have a confession, despite now being a Career Coach & a recruiter for 18 years, I did NOT have my entire career figured out from the start. In fact, you could say I was lost, stuck, and confused throughout almost all of my early career.

Growing up I had countless aspirations of  what I wanted to be when I "grew up", but I always lacked a clear direction. I navigated my way through college, eventually earning a bachelor's degree in public relations. My initial job was far from glamorous or prestigious. It was only years later, when I joined Robert Half, that I discovered a career that challenged me and presented unexpected opportunities.

Throughout my professional journey, I encountered various workplace challenges, including difficult managers, instances of sexual harassment, toxic environments, and work that lacked meaning.

“In hindsight, I now appreciate the anxiousness and confusion I experienced during those formative years. Each step I took ultimately led me closer to my true calling: assisting others in securing the jobs they truly desire.”

My time in the recruiting field, working closely with clients and candidates, provided invaluable insights into the dynamics of successful job placements and the reasons why highly qualified candidates sometimes faced rejection. I had the privilege of working with individuals ranging from recent college graduates to C-Level Executives across diverse industries.

As a Career Coach, I can now pull back the curtain on what transpires "behind the scenes" and apply my extensive knowledge to provide honest and straightforward feedback. My goal is to help the 99% of rejected candidates position themselves as the top 1%.

Today, that is precisely what I do.

Throughout the years, I have accumulated a wealth of wisdom, and above all, I have learned the significance of loving one's job—the place where we spend a substantial portion of our day, every day.

I have also discovered that career transitions are possible at any age and within any industry, without necessarily enduring a drastic decrease in pay. Trust me when I say I have witnessed such transformations, and my clients would attest to the same.
